YSPS DELEGATION ATTENDED THE WORLD FORUM FOR DEMOCRACY 2015

FREEDOM VS CONTROL: FOR A DEMOCRATIC RESPONSE
On 16-21 November 2015 participants of the Yerevan School of Political Studies of the Council of Europe attended World Forum for Democracy 2015 held in Strasbourg, France. This is an annually activity, which brings together over 500 participants from 21 Schools of Political Studies to debate, exchange views and seek responses to the challenges of our times.

The 2015 World Forum for Democracy engaged with young people, decision-makers and opinion-formers in a reflection on democratic security challenges. The topic of the 4th World Forum for Democracy was Freedom vs control: For a democratic response.

In addition to the main programme, a comprehensive series of events and meetings has been designed specifically for the Schools. Special side events for School participants included visits to the European Court of Human Rights, Speed Networking events, regional and bilateral meetings and a diploma ceremony with the Secretary General of the Council of Europe.
